Man Dies a Day After Inspecting Newly Built House, Days Before Planned Move In

A Nigerian man has reportedly passed away just days before he was scheduled to move into his newly constructed house, in a tragic incident that has left many in shock.

The deceased was said to have visited the property on December 30, 2025, to inspect the house and express excitement about finally settling into his new home after its completion. According to reports, he had planned to officially move into the house on January 3, 2026.

Tragically, the man died the following day, December 31, 2025, barely twenty four hours after inspecting the property. The sudden death reportedly stunned his family, friends, and members of the community, who had been looking forward to celebrating the milestone with him.

The heartbreaking incident gained wider attention after former senator Shehu Sani shared a photo of the man inspecting the house shortly before his death. In a post shared on social media, the senator reflected on the unpredictability and fragility of life.

“He is here inspecting his new house on the 30th December. He died on the 31st. He wanted to move in on the 3rd of January. He was not made to live in the year 2026. We are mortals. We only know of this moment and not the next. May Allah grant him Aljanna Firdausi. Amin,” Shehu Sani wrote.

The story has since sparked emotional reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing sorrow and reflecting on how life can change unexpectedly, even at moments of joy and achievement.
