Popular gospel minister Nathaniel Bassey has responded to an X user who urged him to adhere strictly to the scheduled time during the ongoing Hallelujah Challenge.
The Hallelujah Challenge, which began in 2017, was initiated by Bassey through Instagram Live, where he streams praise and worship sessions from his living room. The month-long virtual event has since attracted millions of participants worldwide.
An X user identified as @meyinab took to the platform to express concern over the duration of the nightly worship sessions, noting that many participants have early morning commitments.
Her post read:
“Pastor Nathan, can we stick to time please? Some of us have to wake up early biko.”
In response, Nathaniel Bassey replied graciously, saying:
“You are blessed. Kindly log out at 1 a.m. and watch later in the day. Blessings.”
This exchange comes shortly after a retired nurse sparked conversations online about the singer’s health, urging fans to pray for him. According to the nurse, Bassey appeared fatigued during recent sessions but seemed to be “pressing on in victory.”
The Hallelujah Challenge continues to trend across social media, with thousands joining each night to worship virtually. Notably, Bassey recently shared a personal testimony during the event, revealing that his wife had experienced five miscarriages before their breakthrough.
