Nigerian singer and songwriter Timi Dakolo has sparked online buzz after publicly calling out O’tega Ogra, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu, over what appears to be an unsettled payment.
Taking to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Dakolo tagged O’tega Ogra directly in a post that read:
“Mr @otegaogra please pick your calls. I did my job.”
Though Dakolo didn’t share full details about the dispute, his statement hinted that it might be connected to an unpaid service or performance.
In response, O’tega Ogra appeared to address the issue in a follow-up post, stating that he would not engage in unnecessary public arguments and that any attempts to “personalize” an institutional matter would be met with professional and legal action.
“I see and have noted the commentary. I will not engage in explication where none is required. My record is public and stands on its merits. Any further attempt to personalise a clearly institutional matter will be met with formal correction and the appropriate professional and legal redress.”
The exchange has since stirred widespread reactions on social media, with many Nigerians speculating that Dakolo may have performed at a government event and was yet to be paid.
While the exact details remain unconfirmed, fans have rallied behind the singer, urging O’gra to address the situation and settle the matter amicably.
