Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri, has opened up about her decision to maintain a clear boundary between her private and professional life.
The award-winning actress, who is also a mother of two, revealed that she values her personal space deeply and has no intention of letting fame compromise her sense of self.
Speaking in an interview with Jay OnAir, Kadiri said the entertainment industry can be overwhelming, but she consciously protects her happiness and peace of mind.
“The last thing I want to do as a person is to lose myself in the process of being an entertainer,” she said.
“I need to be able to keep the wealth of happiness or fulfilment for myself whilst growing and building what I want to build. And I’m not going to let anybody sway me.”
Kadiri, known for her hit films such as Matilda, Business Partner, and Better Half, has consistently kept her family life off social media, choosing instead to let her work speak for her.
Her comments have sparked discussions online, with many praising her for prioritizing balance and emotional well-being in an industry often defined by public exposure.
