Ondo Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Impregnating 15-Year-Old Daughter

Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested a man, Oyewole Adamolekun, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his 15-year-old biological daughter.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, the suspect had been sexually assaulting his daughter since she was just three years old.

The incident reportedly occurred at Taye Village, Lafa 2, Ajue Axis, in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. A resident of the community, Julius Olusola, alerted the police after discovering the disturbing act.

“Acting swiftly on the report, officers of the division arrested the suspect, while the victim was immediately taken to a medical facility where an ultrasound examination confirmed that she was nineteen (19) weeks and two (2) days pregnant,” Ayanlade said.

He further disclosed that the suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime during interrogation and is currently in police custody. The case has been transferred to the Command’s Gender Desk for further investigation and prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Adebowale Lawal, condemned the act, describing it as both criminal and morally reprehensible, and assured that the suspect would face the full weight of the law.
