Ned Nwoko’s Brother Breaks Silence, Calls for Privacy Amid Senator’s Marital Crisis With Regina Daniels

The brother of Nigerian lawmaker and billionaire businessman, Ned Nwoko, has appealed to the public for calm and privacy amid the ongoing marital crisis between the senator and his actress wife, Regina Daniels.

This comes after a viral video surfaced online showing Regina Daniels appearing visibly distressed and alleging that she could no longer endure the violence in her marriage. Her brother, Sammy West, also accused Ned Nwoko of physically assaulting the actress.

In response, Senator Nwoko denied the allegations of domestic violence in a statement shared via his verified Instagram page, alleging instead that Regina’s “abuse of drugs and alcohol” was the root cause of the troubles in their marriage.

According to the senator, the actress had recently become “aggressive” and was involved in multiple altercations with domestic staff, damaging property including vehicles and windows within a 48-hour period.

He further claimed that Regina refused to participate in a rehabilitation program he arranged for her—both in Asokoro and abroad—where she would have limited access to substances. Nwoko expressed concern for his wife’s safety and the well-being of their child.

Despite the senator’s explanation, many social media users have maintained that alleged substance abuse does not justify domestic violence, urging authorities and family members to intervene.

Reacting to the situation, Michael Nwoko, the senator’s brother, issued a statement on Instagram, urging the public to remain calm and allow the family to handle the matter privately.

“I respectfully crave the indulgence of all fans and people of goodwill to be calm and continue to demonstrate understanding, as whatever is happening between Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko and his dear wife, Mrs. Regina Daniels Nwoko, is a private family matter. It would be resolved internally,” he wrote.

“Thank you all, and God bless.”

Michael’s statement comes amid widespread public discussion and speculation surrounding the couple’s marriage, which has often drawn attention since their union in 2019.
