Mother Sparks Debate After Allowing 6-Year-Old Daughter to Fly Alone to London

A mother has gone viral online after sharing an emotional video of her six-year-old daughter traveling alone on a flight to London.

The video, originally posted on TikTok by user @tanyanikki93, captured the tearful moment the mother watched her daughter board the plane by herself, while she remained behind at the airport.

In the caption, the woman revealed that her daughter was returning home to London after spending her summer holidays with her in the United States.

“Watched my 6-year-old take her very first unaccompanied flight. She was fearless… Meanwhile, I was crying in the terminal and tracking her flight like a full-time job. So proud of my brave baby girl,” she wrote.

The mother explained that it was her daughter’s first time traveling without a parent and praised the child’s courage, adding that the airline provided full supervision throughout the journey until she landed safely in London.

The video has since gained thousands of views and sparked mixed reactions among social media users. While many commended the mother for raising a confident and independent child, others criticized her for allowing someone so young to travel such a long distance alone.
