Gospel artiste Frank Edwards has shared how the late Evangelist Rev Uma Ukpai miraculously healed him of asthma and pneumonia when he was just eight years old.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, Edwards expressed gratitude to the late cleric, saying:
“At age 8 I got healed of asthma and pneumonia in one of your crusades in Enugu!! Thank you for impacting the world in a special way!! YOU FINISHED WELL PAPA REST ON.”
Rev Uma Ukpai, founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association (UUEA) based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80.
He was widely known for his healing crusades, revivals, and humanitarian efforts, including:
- Uma Ukpai Eye Centre
- King of Kings Hospital
- Uma Ukpai School of Theology
Despite enduring personal tragedies, such as the loss of two of his children, Rev Ukpai remained steadfast in his ministry, spreading the gospel across Nigeria and other African nations.
Following his passing, fellow gospel ministers Nathaniel Bassey and Moses Bliss were among those who paid tribute to his enduring legacy of faith, healing, and service.
