44-Year-Old Man Arrested for Disguising as Woman to Record Women Inside Gym Bathrooms

A 44-year-old man has been arrested in Montgomery County, Maryland (USA) for allegedly disguising himself as a woman to secretly record women inside gym locker rooms and bathrooms.

The suspect, identified as Tshikundi Taty, was taken into custody on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, following an investigation by the Montgomery County Police Department.

Police say the case first came to light on October 10, 2025, when a woman at One Life Fitness Club located on Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown reported a disturbing incident.

According to the victim, a person dressed as a woman had entered the women’s locker room and recorded her while she was in the shower.

The report triggered an immediate investigation, during which authorities identified Taty as the suspect.

Further investigation revealed that Taty allegedly disguised himself as a woman to gain access to female locker rooms in multiple gyms.

Once inside, police say he would record unsuspecting women, then remove his disguise and leave the premises before anyone noticed.

On Wednesday, officers conducting surveillance tracked Taty to a Planet Fitness location in White Oak.

There, they reportedly found him inside the women’s locker room, again dressed as a woman.

He was immediately arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit for booking.

Authorities have not yet released details on how many victims may have been filmed or whether additional charges are pending.

Investigators are urging anyone who believes they may have been recorded or seen suspicious activity in local gyms to come forward and contact Montgomery County Police.
