Ngerian writer and life coach Solomon Buchi (@solomonbbuchi) has sparked online conversations with a bold message about protecting one’s peace and energy from people who thrive on negativity.
In a post shared on Instagram, Buchi explained that he deliberately distances himself from individuals who focus only on bad stories about life, marriage, and relationships. He noted that such people often dwell on unhappy wives, cheating spouses, irresponsible men, and broken homes — creating a gloomy atmosphere that discourages hope.
According to him, their constant references are rooted in bitterness, which makes them toxic to be around. He went as far as describing such individuals as “evil”, adding that they seem to take pride in always spreading negative reports.
Buchi questioned why anyone would choose to be the bearer of bad news all the time instead of uplifting and inspiring others with positive stories and hopeful perspectives.
His statement resonated with many on social media, with several people agreeing that the kind of conversations and company one keeps can significantly influence their outlook on life.
