Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has revealed how the title of her latest book, “The Journey of Grace: Giving Thanks in All Things,” came to her.
According to a report published on PUNCH’s official X account, Mrs. Tinubu explained that the inspiration came during a quiet moment in her bathroom when the Holy Spirit ministered to her through 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
“One morning, while I was in the bathroom, the Holy Spirit dropped this word in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 in my spirit man. He further explained to me that it is not in some things to give thanks, but in everything, both good and bad. Then I realized that this publication’s subtitle will be just that,” she said.
The First Lady noted that she has since learned to express gratitude not only when circumstances are favorable but also in times of trial.
Reflecting on the controversies surrounding the 2023 presidential election, she disclosed that her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was betrayed by many trusted allies. However, she emphasized that she has chosen forgiveness over resentment.
“During the election, President Tinubu was betrayed by many people he relied on. Today, I have forgiven everyone and moved on,” she said.
Mrs. Tinubu’s new book shares her personal journey of faith, gratitude, and resilience, offering insights into her spiritual convictions and life lessons.
