Business mogul and billionaire entrepreneur, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has once again warmed the hearts of Nigerians with his trademark generosity after gifting ₦500,000 to a young content creator whose lighthearted complaint recently went viral on social media.

The young comedian, Somto, had earlier posted a humorous video in which he jokingly lamented that his interaction with Obi Cubana at a public event did not go as he had hoped. According to the boy, despite his enthusiastic greeting, the businessman only gave him “a small handshake,” which he playfully described as disappointing.

The clip, which captured Somto’s unique comedic flair, quickly made rounds on Instagram and other platforms, attracting both laughter and sympathy from netizens. Many tagged Obi Cubana in the video, urging him to “make it up to the boy.”

True to his larger-than-life personality and reputation for generosity, Obi Cubana not only responded to the viral clip but went a step further by crediting the young comedian with ₦500,000. On Monday, September 29, 2025, Somto took to his Instagram page to confirm the kind gesture. Sharing a screenshot of the credit alert, he excitedly wrote:
“Okpata ozuo ora don shake me with 500k. Thanks a lot sir @obi_cubana.”

The heartwarming development sparked a flurry of reactions online, with fans praising both Somto’s creativity and Obi Cubana’s benevolence. For many, it was a reminder of how a simple, humorous complaint could lead to an unexpected blessing.
