Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to reports that Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, is set to appear in court to prove she is a woman.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Sani expressed disbelief at the bizarre legal twist, questioning how such evidence could possibly be presented in a courtroom.
He wrote:
“The French President’s wife Brigitte will be in Court to prove that she is a Woman and not a man as alleged. I wonder how she would do it in an open court as evidence, before the Judge and the Jury.”
Brigitte Macron has long faced unfounded conspiracy theories alleging she was born male. The First Lady has now moved to clear her name through legal proceedings.
Sani’s post and the ongoing controversy sparked a wave of mixed reactions online:
- Ogbeni Adekunle: “If she wins this case, the people who spread those allegations should be heavily fined or jailed. Freedom of speech isn’t freedom to lie.”
- Cardinal: “When will your principal Bola Tinubu be in Court to prove his identity theft case and his $460k forfeiture & drug related case?”
- Balo: “She may open up, down and the back to a female judge at a closed door in a court 🙆♀️😎.”
- Olu: “I know her to be a woman… Do not listen to these mischievous propagandists. C’est une femme.”
- Cryptic: “See wetin a former senator dey talk. Zero knowledge about how the law works. It’s not her who is to prove, rather the person who alleged.”
- Lifeforlagosians: “Very simple… It’s either he’s she, or she’s he, that must be proven. But that case will be politically influenced and quashed eventually.”
