80-Year-Old Pastor Receives N1 Million Gift From Primate Elijah Ayodele, Says He’s Never Seen Such Amount Before

It was a day of joy and surprise for 80-year-old Pastor Walter Akachukwu on Sunday, September 28, 2025, after he received a cash gift of N1 million from the Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele.

Pastor Akachukwu, who hails from Nnokwa in Anambra State, described the gesture as life-changing, admitting that in his entire 80 years on earth, he had never seen or touched N1 million.

Sharing his testimony during service, the elderly pastor recalled how he joined INRI about a decade ago as a frustrated man with little hope. On that day, he said he had only N1,000 in his pocket but decided to attend service despite feeling unwell.

“All my life, I have never before seen N1 million with my eyes, even in an envelope,” he said in awe. “But today, I was given N1 million cash by the Primate. This is the first time in my life I am not only seeing it but also holding it.”

He went on to describe Primate Ayodele as “amazing, wonderful, philanthropic, godly, and a man of integrity and honour.”

Delivering a message to the congregation, Pastor Akachukwu urged members to remain steadfast in faith and ignore external criticism. He prophesied that the church would continue to grow despite opposition.

“INRI will be antagonized, ridiculed, and toiled with, but at the end of the day, INRI will triumph,” he declared, adding that within the next ten years, the church would become a universal household name.
