A tragic incident in Mumbai has taken a shocking turn after police revealed that a 15-year-old girl, initially believed to have committed suicide, was allegedly pushed to her death by a friend.
The incident occurred on June 24 at the Mahindra Splendor Society on LBS Road in Bhandup West. The girl, who lived with her mother in Mulund and was a student at an international school, had reportedly been depressed after receiving an email from her school saying she had failed and would need to repeat class 9.
According to the Bhandup Police, the girl visited her 16-year-old male friend that evening to talk about the distressing news. The friend reportedly took her to the roof to comfort her. During their conversation, the girl allegedly proposed to him, but the boy walked away. As she tried to hug him on the 30th floor, he pushed her away, causing her to lose balance and fall out of a nearby window.
Initially treated as a suicide, the case took a dramatic turn after a thorough investigation involving statements from the boy, his parents, building security, residents, and the girl’s mother. Police now believe it was not suicide, but an act that led directly to her death.
Further legal action is expected as investigations continue.
