Prominent Nigerian cleric and spiritual leader, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a series of alarming security warnings, urging the country’s intelligence agencies to take immediate action to prevent potential terrorist attacks across several regions.
Speaking during a service at the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Ejigbo, Lagos, on Tuesday, July 1, Primate Ayodele revealed that he had received spiritual revelations indicating imminent threats to strategic locations, including the Ikeja Military Cantonment in Lagos and several communities in northern Nigeria.
The cleric specifically warned that the Ikeja Cantonment could be the target of a bomb explosion if urgent measures are not taken.
“To all security intelligence agencies, they must watch on Duma, they want to attack Duma again,” Ayodele said. “Then Buma Barracks — they want to attack Buma Barracks. Ikeja Cantonment, let them be careful of bomb explosion.”
He also sounded an alert for Toto town in Nasarawa State, warning that terrorists are planning an attack there, and emphasized that security forces must act swiftly to avert catastrophe.
“These are sensitive security information the Nigeria security agencies must look at carefully,” he stated.
While Primate Ayodele’s prophecies are spiritual in nature, they have in the past drawn national attention due to their correlation with real-world events. His latest warnings come amid heightened concerns over insecurity in various parts of Nigeria, including the Middle Belt and parts of the North-West.
Security experts have urged authorities to treat such warnings with caution but seriousness, especially in light of past incidents involving underreported threats.
As of the time of this report, Nigerian military and intelligence agencies have not issued an official response to the cleric’s claims.
