India: Woman Abducted in Broad Daylight Near Railway Station in Nanded, Police Launch Manhunt After Rescue

A shocking incident of abduction in broad daylight has stirred outrage in Nanded city, Maharashtra, after a video capturing the crime went viral on social media.

The disturbing footage shows two men arriving on motorcycles near a railway station, where they forcefully abducted a young woman. In the video, the woman is seen resisting and protesting while one of the men grabs her tightly by the neck and drags her away. Despite her visible distress, the men managed to overpower her and place her on a motorcycle, while the second accomplice rode alongside them on another bike.

Startled bystanders witnessed the scene unfold, with some recording the incident. One person in the background is heard urging others to intervene: “Let’s rescue the girl.” However, the abduction was carried out within seconds, leaving little time for any coordinated response from the public.

Following the spread of the video, the Nanded Police were quick to respond. Superintendent of Police Abinash Kumar confirmed that law enforcement officers were already present nearby and were immediately alerted. A rapid chase ensued, during which the suspects, in a desperate bid to escape, threw the victim onto the middle of the road before fleeing the scene.

Fortunately, the young woman was rescued safely and is now receiving appropriate care. Police have taken her statement and launched a full-scale manhunt to apprehend the two suspects involved.

“The victim is safe, and we have launched an extensive investigation based on her account of the incident,” SP Kumar stated, assuring the public that those responsible will be brought to justice.

The incident has raised serious concerns about public safety and the willingness of bystanders to intervene in emergencies. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity, while also emphasizing the importance of immediate police response in preventing such crimes.
