Ebonyi Woman and Lovers Sentenced to 17 Years for Conspiring to Kill Husband

An Ebonyi State High Court has sentenced a mother of eight, Mrs. Agnes Ezeh, and her two male lovers, Peter Iduma and Ominyi Ekene, along with another defendant, Ominyi Chidebere, to 17 years imprisonment for conspiring to kill her husband, Alexander Ezeh. The incident occurred in April 2021, when Ezeh was attacked with a locally made gun, but miraculously escaped. 

The police investigation revealed that Agnes Ezeh had conspired with her lovers to murder her husband. The prosecution team informed the court that the accused persons had attempted to shoot Ezeh to death with a locally made pistol on April 6, 2021. 

Justice Iheanacho Chima found the four defendants guilty of conspiracy and unlawful possession of firearms. The court sentenced each of them to 17 years imprisonment without options of fine. The sentences are to run concurrently, meaning each defendant will spend a total of 17 years in prison.
