Tragic Loss: 27-Year-Old Woman Shot Dead by Boyfriend in Front of 6-Month-Old Baby


A 27-year-old South African woman, Micaela Goeieman, was allegedly shot dead by her boyfriend, Thabiso Lethabo, in front of their 6-month-old baby. The incident occurred on June 4, 2025, in the couple's home in Emndeni Extension 2, Soweto. 


According to reports, the couple got into a heated argument before Lethabo shot Micaela in the head, killing her. Lethabo, 34, allegedly called the police to the crime scene, where he later confessed to the murder. He was then arrested. 



Micaela leaves behind her 6-month-old baby and 7-year-old child. The advocacy group Women For Change expressed their heartbreak over the loss of such a beautiful soul, stating, "Another sister was murdered. How many more until we declare GBV and femicide a National Disaster?"
