Tragic Incident in Sydney: Man Dies After Being Hit by Light Rail

A man has tragically lost his life after being hit by the light rail in Sydney's CBD. The incident occurred on Devonshire Street in Surry Hills at approximately 1:15 pm on Thursday. Emergency services rushed to the scene to find the man, believed to be in his 40s, trapped under a light rail carriage.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics to treat the man, he unfortunately died at the scene. The man has yet to be formally identified. NSW Police have established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the cause of the incident. A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
