A building under construction has collapsed at No. 3 Craig Street in the Shomolu area of Lagos, sparking widespread concern and panic among residents and passersby.

The incident occurred on Monday, June 16, in the afternoon hours. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud crash as the structure gave way, sending clouds of dust into the air and causing chaos in the neighborhood.

Fears of Victims Trapped Beneath Rubble

There are growing fears that individuals may be trapped beneath the debris. Locals gathered at the scene, anxiously awaiting the arrival of emergency responders to begin rescue operations.

As of the time of reporting, officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and other safety agencies had not yet arrived at the site. However, rescue efforts are expected to commence once the emergency teams are fully mobilized.
