Nigerians in India Face Harsh Treatment: A Cry for Help

Nigerians living in India are speaking out about the harsh treatment they face, including unfair demands for money, abuse by police, and exploitation. Many are feeling trapped and helpless, with some even wanting to return home to Nigeria but unable to afford the high costs of travel. 

The Nigerians describe situations where they feel targeted and exploited, with some reporting being asked for bribes or facing unfair arrests. The police, instead of protecting them, sometimes contribute to their suffering, causing fear and frustration among the community. 

The financial burden of living in India under these harsh conditions is overwhelming. Many have lost jobs or cannot find stable work, making it harder to save money for a return journey. The combination of mistreatment and financial struggle creates a desperate situation. 

Some Nigerians have called on both the Indian and Nigerian governments to intervene, seeking better protection and support while they are abroad. They also hope for assistance to make returning home possible. Without help, many fear their situation will only worsen.
