A man was found dead inside a white BMW near Gatwick Airport, sparking a mystery that has left locals and authorities seeking answers. The body was discovered on June 6 by a recovery driver who had come to collect the vehicle.
According to reports, the man's friends have been visiting the scene and asking locals questions, trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding his death. Some locals claim that the man may have been living in the car, and one worker reported the vehicle as abandoned on April 30, describing it as "suspicious"
Ibrahim Italil Cete, a worker at a burger van near the scene, spoke to the man's friends and was told that he had mental health issues and would often go off-grid. Another local, Tia Green, described the smell coming from the car as "horrendous" and estimated that the vehicle had been there for around seven months.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said that the death is not being treated as suspicious and that enquiries are ongoing to identify the individual and establish the full circumstances of the situation.
The mysterious circumstances surrounding the man's death have raised more questions than answers. As the investigation continues, one question remains: what led to the man's tragic death in the car near Gatwick Airport
