A 20-year-old man, Kapil Dahiya, was found dead with burn injuries near the Narela-Bawana flyover in outer-north Delhi. According to police, Dahiya was last seen leaving with his neighbour and two friends for a birthday party on Saturday night.
The police investigation revealed that Dahiya's friends and neighbour are suspected to be involved in his murder. CCTV footage shows Dahiya leaving with his friends, but they are currently untraceable. Two suspects have been identified, and technical surveillance indicates they have left Delhi and are believed to be near Uttarakhand.
In a separate incident, Delhi Police apprehended a minor in connection with the murder of a 30-year-old waiter, Sunil Mandal. His body was found with a slit throat inside his rented accommodation in Metro Vihar. The minor suspect allegedly confessed to killing Mandal using a pan and a knife to steal ₹1,500.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer-north) Hareshwar Swami said that the police are taking the cases seriously and are working to ensure justice is served. The police have registered a murder case in both incidents and are conducting further investigations.
