Olu-Epe, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, Passes Away at 86

The Olu of Epe Kingdom, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, has passed away at the age of 86. The monarch reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday, May 31, 2025. According to reports, the 19th ruler of Epe will be laid to rest today in accordance with Islamic rites. 

High Chief Odedeogboro Balogun of Epe Kingdom confirmed the king's passing to PUNCH Online, stating that the monarch will be buried at 4 pm today. Oba Adewale had a distinguished career, serving as Otun-Balogun, Balogun, and later ascending to the throne. He also had a notable career in the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Lands.

A mother of four, Mrs. Chinasa, has disowned her 16-year-old daughter, Mmesoma, for leaking her intimate videos with a lover to her husband.
