Nollywood veteran and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has taken to social media to urge women, especially Christians, to remain celibate until marriage. In a passionate Instagram video, Anunobi emphasized that a marriage proposal is not a license for premarital sex, cautioning women to wait until all traditional and legal marriage rites are properly completed.
Using dramatic metaphors and biblical references, Anunobi urged women to hold on to their spiritual values and not be manipulated by physical desires or emotional deception. "Just because someone says 'I'll marry you' doesn't mean you should give in," she warned. "Until the wedding is fully done, you have no barcode, zip code, or visa to the land of sexual pleasure.
Anunobi reminded her followers of their identity in Christ, encouraging them to maintain purity and not compromise their faith for fleeting pleasure. "Don't let flattering words make you lose your focus. You are a daughter of Zion, not to be 'manhandled sweetly' just because someone claims he'll walk you down the aisle," she said.
In her closing remarks, Anunobi urged her followers to stay celibate and not let the devil rob them of their dignity. "Stay celibate. Don't let the devil rob you of your dignity. Remember who you are—you belong to the tribe of Jesus," she emphasized. Will this message resonate with young women, or will societal pressures prevail?
