Boko Haram Attacks Kill Over 40 in Borno State, Army Issues Warning

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have killed over 40 people in several attacks across Borno State, Nigeria, setting fire to houses and a church. The attacks occurred in different areas between Kalabalge and Damboa Local Government Areas, despite promises from the Chief of Army Staff to improve the Nigerian Army's ability to deal with security threats.

The first attack occurred on Monday at around 12 p.m. when 26 travelers hit an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) believed to have been planted by Boko Haram while traveling along the Kala-Balge road to Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area. The explosion killed 26 people, including 16 men, four women, and six children.

Seven hours later, at 7 p.m., the terrorists attacked a funeral in Kwaple, a village near Chibok, shooting at mourners and killing about 15 people. The attackers arrived on motorcycles and carried out coordinated attacks for nearly an hour without being stopped by security forces.

The Nigerian Army has issued a strong warning to terrorists, promising to improve its ability to deal with ongoing security threats. The Borno State Police spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying the injured victims were still being treated in the hospital.

Lagos Woman Missing After Message About Wrong Car

A Nigerian man, Mayor Johnson, has raised an alarm about the disappearance of his sister, Esther, in Lagos State. Esther was supposed to travel from Ajah to Epe to stay with a family friend in preparation for her JAMB exam. Lagos Police Debunk Rumors of Boko Haram Arrests in the State

 The Lagos State Police Command has officially denied recent reports claiming that hundreds of Boko Haram suspects were arrested in different parts of Lagos. In a statement released on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the report was completely false. He confirmed that the command immediately launched an investigation to verify the claims and found no evidence supporting them. According to the statement, police teams visited trailer parks and communities mentioned in the report. Leaders, drivers, and residents in those areas confirmed they had neither seen nor heard of any Boko Haram-related arrests.
