The Nigerian Army has recorded another major success in its ongoing offensive against insurgents across the country, neutralising no fewer than 47 terrorists in multiple operations.
In a statement released on Tuesday night via its official Facebook page, the Army Headquarters said the operations were carried out within the last 72 hours and also resulted in the arrest of 19 criminal suspects and the rescue of over 30 kidnapped victims.
The statement revealed that a large cache of arms, ammunition, and other logistics was recovered during the coordinated land and air operations conducted by troops.
According to the Nigerian Army, soldiers carried out aggressive ground operations based on credible intelligence in the North West and North Central regions, leading to the successful neutralisation of several terrorists.
The operations were further extended to Zamfara State, Kaduna State, the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, and parts of the South South region, as security forces sustained pressure on criminal elements across multiple theatres.
The Army reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace and security across the country.
