A woman has appealed for help after alleging that her husband locked her inside their home following years of domestic abuse, saying she fears for her safety.
According to the woman, she has remained in the marriage for a long period despite the alleged abuse, largely because of concern for her children. She said she had hoped the situation would improve but instead deteriorated, leaving her feeling trapped and helpless.
The woman claimed that the situation escalated when her husband allegedly confined her indoors, preventing her from leaving the house. She described the experience as frightening and said she felt she had no way to escape or seek assistance.
“I don’t want to die just because I stayed back for my children,” she said, expressing fear that the abuse could worsen if no intervention occurs.
Details surrounding the incident, including when and where it occurred, remain unclear. There has been no immediate response from the husband, and the allegations have not been independently verified.
The case has drawn attention to the issue of domestic abuse, with advocates stressing that confinement, intimidation and control are recognised forms of domestic violence. Rights groups continue to urge victims to seek help from trusted individuals, law enforcement or support organisations.
Authorities have not confirmed whether a formal complaint has been filed or whether an investigation is underway.
