Residents of Salvation Road, around the Oke-Padre/Ogunpa axis in Ibadan, were left stunned after a suspected thief jumped from a two-storey building while trying to escape an angry mob. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral online, sparking reactions from locals who say theft cases in the area have become increasingly frequent.

Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect had been cornered by residents when he made the dangerous jump to avoid being beaten. The fall left the crowd shocked, and some onlookers claimed that the thief attempted to flee even after sustaining injuries.

Oke-Padre is notorious for its tough approach to crime, with locals known to confront suspected criminals directly. According to residents, the thief’s leap was a last-ditch effort to escape severe mob action.
