Terrorists have released a photograph showing the abducted wife and daughter of the late Kaduna Anglican priest, Ven. Edwin Achi, with a gun pointed at them, raising fresh concerns over their safety.
Ven. Achi, his wife Sarah, and their daughter were kidnapped from their home in Chikun Local Government Area on October 28, 2025. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of two hundred million naira and threatened to kill the victims if the family failed to pay.
The priest was murdered before the ransom deadline expired. The abductors later posted a picture of him and his wife on his Facebook page, a move that drew widespread condemnation.
A relative identified as Avril confirmed the latest development on X while responding to journalist Rufai Oseni. He appealed to the public and the media to continue drawing attention to the plight of the remaining victims in captivity.
He wrote, “Please keep pushing the news that Ven. Edwin Achi’s wife, Sarah Achi, is still in captivity. Their captors recently uploaded a picture of her and her daughter with a gun pointed at them. Their demands are incoherent at this point.”
Sharing the distressing image on Wednesday, he added, “This is not a country.”
