Televangelist Benny Hinn and Wife Suzanne Finalise Divorce After 46 Years of Marriage

American televangelist Benny Hinn and his wife Suzanne Hinn have officially finalised their divorce for the second time, bringing an end to a relationship that has spanned nearly five decades and has long been in the public eye.

According to documents filed in the Hillsborough County Court in Florida and cited by the Trinity Foundation, the couple’s marriage was dissolved on November 19 through an uncontested proceeding. Suzanne Hinn initiated the divorce in mid 2024 at a time when the pair were living separately more than 60 miles apart, which signaled increasing distance in their relationship prior to the final split.

Suzanne’s attorney Matthew Wilson declined to comment on the widespread attention surrounding the case and stated that confidentiality prevented further discussion. Benny Hinn’s attorney Damon Chase confirmed that the popular faith healer did not request the divorce but acknowledged that the decision was mutual and that the process remained peaceful. Chase described the couple as maintaining a deep soulmate type of love. He noted that even after the dissolution they continue to pray together and remain involved in Christian ministry.

This divorce marks the second time the Hinns have legally separated. Their first split occurred in 2010 after more than 30 years of marriage. Benny and Suzanne Hinn, who married in 1979 and share four children, reconciled two years later and formally remarried in 2013.

Their first divorce drew significant media attention after the National Enquirer published photos showing Benny Hinn and televangelist Paula White together. Hinn strongly denied allegations of an affair and stated that the two were close ministry colleagues and had travelled together only for faith related engagements. He later attributed the marital breakdown to Suzanne’s long term dependence on prescription medication, which he said contributed to behavioural challenges during that period.

Although their reconciliation in 2013 once gave hope to followers who admired their partnership, the latest split appears to be decisive. The specific reasons for the divorce have not been revealed. All recent court filings remain sealed, leaving many questions unanswered.

The news has renewed public interest in one of the most recognisable couples in global Christian ministry. Many followers have expressed sadness while wishing the former partners peace as they continue their work separately.
