Police in Los Angeles have arrested the son of renowned Hollywood director Rob Reiner following the fatal stabbing of the filmmaker and his wife at their home in Brentwood, California.
According to WUSF Public Media, police responded to a medical emergency call at the couple’s residence on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at about 3.40 pm local time. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and discovered Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, dead inside the home. Authorities later confirmed that both victims had been fatally stabbed.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation. The Week Magazine identified the victims as 78 year old Rob Reiner, acclaimed for directing films such as Stand By Me and The Princess Bride, and his 68 year old wife, Michele, his longtime partner.
