Popular Nigerian social media activist Verydarkman has revealed a shocking and alarming experience that occurred immediately upon his return to Nigeria from a trip to China. His disclosure has sparked widespread concern among his followers and the online community.
During a live stream session, Verydarkman recounted that upon landing, he was confronted by security operatives at the airport. They allegedly seized his passport and warned that his life was in serious danger. Confused and alarmed, he repeatedly asked why the passport was being taken, but the officials refused to provide any clear explanation.
“The day I landed in this country, security operatives came and seized my passport. When they took it, I thought something had happened. I asked why they were seizing my passport, but they said nothing,” he said.
He was then escorted into an office, where he anticipated a routine interrogation. Instead, the officials informed him that he was under imminent threat and advised him to seek protection from the police, the army, or the Department of State Services. They further explained that intercepted communications indicated assassins were being sent after him.
When he asked who was behind the threat, the officials did not disclose any names, stating that the danger came from a group rather than a single individual. Verydarkman eventually received his passport back but chose to reject any form of security protection.
“They asked again, ‘Who do you want to protect you during this period, the police, the army, or the Department of State Services?’ I told them nobody. I will never use security. The day I go is the day I go. If I am gone today, I am good,” he explained, underscoring his refusal to live under constant protection.
His revelation has triggered intense discussion on social media, with many expressing concern for his safety and urging him to be careful. One user commented, “VDM needs to be very careful. This story no be small thing.” Another said, “If security is warning him like this, the threat must be real.”
