Kim Kardashian Pays Kanye West $23 Million to Take Full Ownership of Hidden Hills Estate

Reality TV star and business mogul Kim Kardashian has reportedly paid her estranged husband, rapper Kanye West, $23 million to acquire full ownership of the Hidden Hills estate they once shared.

According to E! News, the agreement was finalized less than a year after Kardashian filed for divorce from West. Despite their ongoing divorce proceedings, the former couple have remained on amicable terms and have publicly shown support for one another in recent months.

A source close to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum confirmed to E! News that Kardashian was awarded the luxury Hidden Hills property, which had served as the family home for several years.

Court documents dated October 15 and obtained by E! News reveal that Kardashian is paying $20 million for the property itself and an additional $3 million for its contents. As part of the agreement, the SKIMS founder will retain sole ownership of all furnishings, furniture, fixtures, appliances, collectibles, silver, and artwork within the home.

The sprawling estate, frequently featured on the family’s reality television series, has been Kardashian’s primary residence with the couple’s four children since the divorce was announced.

Kardashian and West originally purchased the property in 2014 for $20 million and completed a major renovation in 2019. The former couple later showcased the minimalist redesign and their shared passion for architecture and interior design in a February interview with Architectural Digest.

Reflecting on the experience, Kardashian credited West with expanding her appreciation for design.

“I really didn’t know anything about furniture before I met Kanye, but being with him has been an extraordinary education,” she said.

West enlisted renowned Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt to help bring his vision to life. Kardashian noted that while she and West shared a love for a neutral aesthetic, she often focused on the functional aspects of the home.

“Kanye would come up with the most far-out ideas, and I’d say, ‘This is not normal. We need drawers!’ I was the voice of functionality,” she said.

The divorce proceedings between Kardashian and West are still ongoing.
