Davido Defends Wife Chioma Against Online Troll, Sparks Heated Social Media Debate

Award winning Nigerian music star Davido has stirred renewed reactions online after fiercely defending his wife, Chioma Rowland, from a negative remark made by an Instagram user. The incident, which unfolded under one of his recent posts, has since gone viral and sparked a broader conversation about online harassment, family boundaries, and public expectations surrounding the singer.

The controversy began when a troll directed an insulting comment at Chioma. In an unusually direct response, Davido shut down the remark and cautioned the critic to stay out of his family’s affairs. The singer, visibly displeased, wrote,

“Cho Cho Cho Cho Cho Cho. Do you even know what my wife is coming back from? You all just talk rubbish. You are not and can never be as strong as her. Mind your business.”

His comment quickly caught the attention of fans and social media observers, many of whom praised him for publicly standing up for his wife. Supporters described his response as a sign of loyalty, maturity, and the duty of a husband to protect his spouse from needless online attacks.

However, his reaction also triggered critical responses. Some users questioned why the singer appears more vocal when defending Chioma than when online trolls target his first daughter Imade.

One commenter wrote, “Why not defend his first daughter Imade?”

Another added, “But he cannot tell his fans to stop trolling Imade?”

The mixed reactions continued across various platforms. While some argued that Davido is simply doing what any responsible husband should do, others suggested that his silence in past controversies involving Imade created a perception of imbalance.

Positive reactions were overwhelming. Many thanked Davido for shielding Chioma from online negativity, especially given the personal struggles she has reportedly endured in recent times.

One user wrote, “Thank you David for protecting your precious queen.”

Another added, “A real king protecting his queen. God bless you David.”

Some fans also criticised the ongoing attacks directed at Chioma, describing them as unnecessary and rooted in jealousy. One supporter commented,

“What crime did she commit? Marrying Davido? Haters should leave her alone. No weapon formed against her shall prosper.”

As discussions continued to trend, Davido did not issue any further statements on the matter. The situation highlighted the intense scrutiny that comes with celebrity relationships and the growing demand for respectful online behaviour.

The debate also underscored how emotionally charged public opinions can become when it involves Davido, his family, and his personal relationships.

Mother Disowns 16-Year-Old Daughter Over Leaked Intimate Videos

A mother of four, Mrs. Chinasa, has disowned her 16-year-old daughter, Mmesoma, for leaking her intimate videos with a lover to her husband. The videos were allegedly sent to Chinasa's ex-husband, who then shared them with her friends and acquaintances, causing Chinasa immense shame and ridicule.
