Datti Baba Ahmed’s Daughter Marries Dangote Son in Grand Abuja Ceremony

Tasnim Baba Ahmed, daughter of the Labour Party’s 2023 vice presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, has tied the knot with Sani Dangote Jr., son of the late businessman Sani Dangote, in a high profile wedding ceremony held in Abuja.

The wedding Fatiha took place on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Sultan Sa’ad Mosque located within Baze University in Abuja. The ceremony was marked by elegance and tight security, reflecting the prominence of both families.

Several notable figures from Nigeria’s political, business, and social circles were present at the event. Among the dignitaries in attendance were Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote. Their presence further highlighted the significance of the occasion.

In the days leading up to the main ceremony, pre wedding events were held and attracted equally prominent guests, including daughters of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Zahra, Noor, and Halima. Their attendance added to the elite nature of the celebrations.

The bride, Tasnim Baba Ahmed, is a recent graduate of the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, where she completed her studies last year. The union has since generated widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians congratulating both families and describing the wedding as a blend of politics, business, and tradition.
