World renowned boxer Anthony Joshua has reportedly been involved in a road accident in Makun, Ogun State, with two people feared dead, according to eyewitness accounts.
The incident reportedly occurred earlier on Monday along a busy section of the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, a major highway linking Lagos to several parts of the country. Eyewitnesses said the vehicle conveying Joshua was involved in a collision with another car, although the exact cause of the crash has yet to be established.
An eyewitness who spoke with PUNCH Online and said he took part in the rescue operation claimed that Joshua sustained minor injuries in the accident. The witness added that two occupants of the other vehicle reportedly died at the scene.
Emergency responders were said to have arrived shortly after the crash, while traffic along the highway was temporarily disrupted as rescue efforts and clearance operations were carried out.
