Who knows him should contact me, I have $1000 for him” VDM reacts to officer who confronted Wike

Nigerian social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has offered a $1000 reward to a Nigerian Navy officer who stood his ground against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, during a confrontation in Abuja.

A viral video of the incident shows the officer preventing Wike and his team from accessing a disputed property. The act has stirred widespread reactions across social media. Many Nigerians have since applauded the officer’s discipline, courage, and sense of duty, describing him as a model of professionalism.

VDM hails officer’s courage and discipline

In a post shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, VDM identified the officer as A. M. Yarima from Kaduna State, calling him a true symbol of courage, discipline, and integrity from Northern Nigeria.

He wrote,

“This is the young Nigerian Navy officer who courageously stood his ground and stopped the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in his tracks, proving that power should never be used to intimidate others.”

VDM also stated that Yarima’s action serves as a reminder that leadership requires humility and respect for the rule of law, regardless of status or position.

He added,

“Who knows him should contact me, I have $1000 for him. He has made us proud.”

The influencer prayed for the officer’s promotion and protection, commending his professionalism in handling a tense situation with calm authority.

Otse’s post has attracted widespread support, with many Nigerians praising him for recognising and rewarding integrity, a quality they say is often missing in public service today.
