Vinicius Set for Shock Real Madrid Exit as Contract Talks Collapse

Brazilian football star Vinicius Junior is reportedly considering his future at Real Madrid after reports emerged that contract renewal talks with the Spanish La Liga giants have completely collapsed. The 24-year-old winger, who has been a key figure for Real Madrid since joining from Flamengo in 2018, now faces an uncertain future amid growing tension at the club.

According to Swiss Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the breakdown in negotiations has reached a point of no return, with Real Madrid reportedly open to selling Vinicius in the forthcoming summer transfer window for an initial fee of €150 million. The failure to agree on a new deal comes as a shock to fans, who had long seen the Brazilian as a cornerstone of the team’s attack.

Tensions between Vinicius and manager Xabi Alonso are said to have worsened the situation. A source close to the dressing room told Tavolieri that “it is hard to imagine Vinicius staying at Real Madrid next season,” suggesting that the player’s relationship with the coach has deteriorated beyond repair. The strained dynamics off the pitch could play a decisive role in the player’s potential departure.

Real Madrid, aware of growing interest from several top clubs, is said to have accepted that a departure could happen by the summer of 2026. Among the potential suitors, a Saudi Arabian club backed by the government is reportedly the frontrunner to sign Vinicius, offering him the chance to continue his career in the Saudi Pro League.

Meanwhile, some Premier League giants, including Manchester City, are closely monitoring the situation but are in no rush to make a formal move. The ongoing uncertainty surrounding Vinicius’s contract has generated significant speculation in European football circles, with fans and pundits alike debating the impact of his possible exit on Real Madrid’s squad.

Vinicius’s potential departure would mark the end of a chapter for one of Real Madrid’s most influential players in recent years.
