President Bola Tinubu has reassured families of the students abducted by bandits in Kebbi State that the Federal Government will do everything possible to secure the safe return of their children.
The President conveyed this message through Vice President Kashim Shettima, who visited Kebbi State on Wednesday to commiserate with the government and people of the state following the recent attack.
According to Daily Post, Shettima was accompanied by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda. The Vice President described the abduction as deeply unfortunate and expressed sympathy to all affected families.
Shettima emphasised that President Tinubu considers the rescue of the schoolgirls a top national priority. He commended security agencies for their ongoing efforts and sacrifices in the operation to track down the perpetrators and recover the students.
The Federal Government has urged residents to remain calm, assuring them that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safe return of the abducted schoolgirls.
