Prominent Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning about a predicted increase in fire disasters across Nigeria in the coming months. In a recent Facebook video, Ayodele urged Nigerians, governmental agencies, and safety officials to remain vigilant as the end-of-year period approaches.
According to Ayodele, the months of December, January, and February could witness a notable surge in both residential and industrial fire incidents. “There will be a lot of fire outbreaks this December, January, February,” he cautioned, stressing the importance of preparedness and caution.
The cleric also suggested that some of these fire incidents might defy ordinary explanations, hinting at both natural and unnatural causes. “Some fire outbreaks may not be explicable. They may not be able to be explained,” he said, highlighting the unpredictability of the situation.
Ayodele further warned that these outbreaks may not be isolated events, predicting that multiple regions could experience simultaneous incidents. “You can expect an explosion of fire outbreaks throughout Nigeria. Let’s remain vigilant about this,” he urged.
As the end-of-year period approaches, citizens and authorities alike are being reminded to prioritize safety measures, stay alert to potential hazards, and take precautionary steps to mitigate risks associated with fire disasters.
