A Nigerian photographer has shared an emotional account of how a client’s vibrant birthday photoshoot unexpectedly became the images later used for her funeral. He described the development as deeply heartbreaking.
In a video posted on TikTok, the photographer, identified as Dynamic, said the shoot took place on 5 October, just days before the woman’s birthday on 9 October 2025. He recalled that she arrived at the studio in high spirits, carrying multiple outfits and expressing her desire to capture every moment of her upcoming celebration.
According to Dynamic, the woman radiated joy throughout the session. She sang, danced and offered prayers for him and the studio team. She also spoke openly about how important the pictures were to her, stressing that she wanted them to reflect her happiness, confidence and love for life.
He added that her warmth made a strong impression on everyone present. She shared words of encouragement and blessings before the session ended. Dynamic said she prayed that the team would live long, achieve their goals and enjoy success in their careers. After the shoot, she insisted on giving him a ride to the bus stop, showing the same kindness she had displayed throughout the day.
The photographer said he was shocked when, on 8 November, he was informed that the woman had passed away. The news left him devastated, especially because of the joyful memories they had shared only weeks earlier. He explained that learning her birthday photos had become her funeral portraits made the loss even more painful.
Dynamic said he chose to share the story to remind people to value their relationships and appreciate moments of happiness, no matter how ordinary they may seem. He concluded by praying for the woman’s peaceful rest and extending his condolences to her family and loved ones.
