Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo has alleged that terrorist groups responsible for recent attacks in Plateau State and other parts of North Central Nigeria have vowed that residents will not be able to celebrate Christmas in their homes this year. The cleric made the claim during a service held by Dr Paul Enenche, Founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre.
Dachomo, who has frequently spoken about attacks on rural communities in Plateau State, said the groups had been mobilising resources and planning coordinated assaults. He alleged that financial contributions were being gathered to support the plan.
According to him, “We need your prayers because in the Islamic world, especially the Fulani terrorists, they are busy contributing money. Every woman will gather one hundred thousand naira and the men will contribute two hundred thousand naira each. They have vowed that we are not going to spend our Christmas this year. They said we will be running with rice at hand because they are ready for jihad. They are mobilising from the far North, and today, all we need is prayer.”
The pastor urged Christians to pray, saying he believes spiritual intervention can protect communities. He emphasised that prayer remains a powerful tool for believers and expressed confidence that God would defend those affected by insecurity.
“This God that is living in heaven with His son at His right hand, nothing will stop Him from saving our souls. Your prayer is more than an AK-47; it is more than a rocket launcher. Let us launch our prayers to heaven,” he said.
Dachomo insisted that God would continue to hear the prayers of Nigerians and intervene in difficult times. He also described the situation in the region as a “genocide,” calling for continuous intercession.
He thanked Pastor Enenche for his support, noting that the Dunamis founder had publicly prayed for him and Plateau State on several occasions. He added that Enenche had visited his village in Barkin Ladi and has been a source of encouragement to affected communities.
Security agencies have not issued an official response to Dachomo’s claims at the time of this report.
