Nigerians React as Viral Naval Officer Ahmad Yerima Makes First Instagram Post After Face Off With Wike


Nigerian Naval officer Lieutenant Ahmad Yerima has drawn significant public attention after making his first post on Instagram, days after his viral confrontation with the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Lieutenant Yerima became a trending figure across social media after a video surfaced showing him refusing to grant Minister Wike access to a parcel of land. The officer’s calm but firm stance earned widespread praise, with many Nigerians commending his professionalism and courage. The incident generated intense national discussions and elevated Yerima to the center of public debate.

Following several days of online silence, the Naval officer reappeared on Instagram under the handle @yareeemarh. His first public post featured a photograph of his former superior, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral A. Z. Gambo, accompanied by multiple star emojis. The post immediately drew attention from social media users who had closely followed the earlier confrontation.

In addition to the tribute, Yerima also posted a photo of himself dressed in traditional attire while seated in a car. The uploads quickly attracted thousands of reactions, with many Nigerians expressing admiration and support.

The comment section of Yerima’s posts was flooded with messages praising his bravery and composure.
