Newly Married Man Allegedly Killed by Wife Three Days After Wedding in Katsina

A tragic incident has been reported in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, where a newly married man, Abubakar Dan Gaske Mai Nasara, was allegedly killed by his wife, Aisha Muhammad, just three days after their wedding ceremony.

The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 23 November 2025, at the couple’s home in Jibia. According to community sources, Abubakar was said to be asleep when his wife allegedly attacked him, resulting in injuries that led to his death before neighbours could intervene.

Residents who rushed to the scene confirmed that Abubakar had already passed away by the time help arrived.

Local authorities have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Aisha Muhammad has reportedly been taken into custody for questioning as part of the ongoing inquiry.

The case has sparked shock and concern within the community as investigations continue.
