Missing FRSC Officer and Daughter Feared Killed After Remains Found in Suspected Herbalist’s Home in Osun

The disappearance of a senior Federal Road Safety Corps officer, Superintendent Route Commander Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi, and her teenage daughter, Sewa Lasisi, has taken a tragic turn as their remains were reportedly discovered in the residence of a suspected herbalist in Osun State.

According to a report by Punch on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Lasisi, a fourth level senior operational officer responsible for supervising multiple routes and coordinating strategic enforcement activities, had been missing along with her daughter for several days. Their sudden absence raised alarms among family members, colleagues and the wider community.

Attempts by relatives and FRSC staff to reach them by phone were unsuccessful, prompting authorities to begin investigations in Ogun State, where the officer resided. The search later extended to neighbouring states after new leads emerged.

Local sources on social media revealed that the remains of the officer and her daughter were found in the home of a suspected herbalist in an undisclosed community in Osun State. According to a family insider, the herbalist’s wife was arrested at the residence, while the suspected herbalist fled before law enforcement arrived.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, confirmed in a telephone briefing that arrests had been made by the Osun State Police Command. He also stated that investigators recovered exhibits believed to include parts of the victims’ bodies at the scene.

“The Osun command has launched a full investigation. Arrests have been made, and evidence that appears to be body parts was recovered,” Ogunlowo said.

The gruesome discovery has sparked nationwide outrage and deepened the concern surrounding ritual related killings in the country. The high ranking status of the FRSC officer has further intensified public attention on the case.

Police authorities are urging members of the public to provide any useful information on the whereabouts of the fleeing herbalist or other details that may support the ongoing investigation.

The incident has left the family, colleagues and the community in mourning as investigators continue working to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the shocking killings.
