Libyan Security Forces Rescue Nigerian Woman From Kidnappers, Arrest Suspects

Security forces in Misrata, Libya, successfully rescued a Nigerian woman who had been kidnapped by a gang of Nigerians seeking ransom. The dramatic operation was reported by the Libya Observer on Thursday, November 27, 2024.

The victim’s brother alerted the Anti-Terrorism Force about the abduction, prompting an immediate response. Security operatives quickly mobilized to locate and confront the suspects.

Authorities stormed the gang’s hideout, freeing the kidnapped woman unharmed. All suspects involved in the operation were arrested and handed over to relevant Libyan authorities for prosecution.

The successful operation highlights ongoing challenges with transnational criminal activities in the region. Security officials emphasize the importance of swift reporting and international cooperation in combating kidnapping and organized crime.
