Isaac Fayose Calls for the Release of Regina Daniels’ Brother, Condemns Ned Nwoko’s Actions as “Abuse of Power”
Businessman and brother to former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, Isaac Fayose, has weighed in on the ongoing public dispute between Senator Ned Nwoko and his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, describing the situation as “an abuse of power.” He also called for the immediate release of Regina’s detained brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West.
In a video shared on his official Instagram page on Saturday, November 8, 2025, Fayose expressed deep sympathy for Regina Daniels, describing her as a “poor girl” going through one of the toughest times of her life. He lamented that her brother had been detained and that an arrest warrant had reportedly been issued against her mother, Rita Daniels, calling the situation “oppression.”
Fayose said the matter reflected a moral failure among those in power, stressing that leadership should begin with the ability to maintain peace at home. He urged Senator Nwoko to “tamper justice with mercy,” adding that locking up in-laws and threatening family members was “below the belt.”
“Senator Ned, if we were abroad, people would be saying you should resign because if you cannot put your home together, you are locking up your in-laws. How will you even settle with them later? Tamper justice with mercy. We want you to release Sammy now,” Fayose said.
The businessman further condemned what he described as a misuse of influence, asserting that wealth should never be used to intimidate others. “Money doesn’t make man God,” he added, appealing to Nwoko to take swift action to resolve the family conflict.
Fayose also commented on the age gap in the couple’s marriage, noting that marrying a much younger woman requires patience and understanding. Using a metaphor, he likened Regina to “a young girl in a candy store,” emphasizing that youth often comes with inexperience and emotional vulnerability.
He concluded his message with a direct plea to the lawmaker:
“Mr. Ned, do the needful now. Please free Sammy. Let us stop this.”
