Nollywood star Queen Nwokoye has shared the emotional reason she had to pause her movie production plans at a point in her career. The actress revealed that she went through one of the most difficult seasons of her life after losing both of her parents only months apart.
According to her, she had been preparing to produce a film, but the sudden tragedies made it impossible to continue with her plans. She explained that her mother passed away, and just a few months later, her father also died, leaving her devastated and drained on every level.
Queen Nwokoye said she did not want to release a project that would fall below standard, especially after criticizing poorly produced movies in the past. However, the emotional weight of losing both parents within such a short period forced her to set aside her ambitions temporarily.
She described that period as overwhelming, expressing how difficult it was to handle two burial ceremonies in the same year. Despite the pain, she said she eventually found the strength to move forward, holding on to her faith and choosing not to question God.
